📆 April 07 - 11, 2025
💰 $0+
Compete as a team to launch yourself along the ice and slide closest to the button! No sweeping required in Calgary Corporate Challenge’s most recognizable Off-Season Event!
Human Bonspiel involves teams of 4, with each team member sliding two times. Team Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. each day of the event, with the first slides scheduled for noon.
Participating teams will slide on the ice and try to hit the button while raising money for local charities.
How it will work:
Here’s how it works:
Teams arrive between 11:30 a.m. & 11:45 a.m. on their scheduled sliding date
All team members will be expected to have read and agreed to the waiver. Team members will have the opportunity to practice on the ice before the slides start at 12:00 p.m.
At 12:00 p.m., the scheduled tournament slides begins. Each team will be scheduled to slide twice during the preliminary rounds.
Each team member will slide once per round. The goal is to land as close to the button (centre of the rings) as possible.
Your individual score (as measured by our team of volunteers) is calculated as the total distance (in centimetres) that your inner-tube lands from the button. Effectively, the closer you land to the button, the lower your individual score is. The lower your score is, the better.
At the end of each round, individual scores from each team members’ slide will be added together and your team’s overall score will be determined.
After the two preliminary rounds are complete, the 5 teams with the lowest overall score between the two preliminary rounds will advance to Slide-Offs; a single additional round where each team member slides one more time. Again, results are determined based on your team’s cumulative distance from the button.
After Slide-Offs, top 15 Teams will advance to the Finals on Friday (Top 3 Teams from each day + 3 Wild Card Teams!)
Calgary Corporate Challenge’s Off-Season Events are open to anyone and everyone over the age of 18. Gather up your friends and family and come on out!

When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him.
